An extraordinary global event will take place the week of September 26th to October 3rd 2010 when over 100,000 people in over 200 cities across six continents gather in Cinemas, Galleries, Museums and Cafes for one purpose…to view and vote on our Finalists’ Films in the Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival.
Rules and Regulations
The Festival screens off HD Cam, Digital Beta or Beta SP. No Film Prints are ever required.
For preselection the Festival requires films on DVD in NTSC and PAL formats.
Films in languages other then English require English subtitles.
Films should be no longer then 18 minutes in length. The festival will allow for 1 to 2 minutes leeway to suit the filmmaker’s vision
Deadline: July 31, 2010
Entry Fee: $35
There is no Late Deadline. All films MUST be in by July 31, 2010
Credit card payments are preferred by foreign applicants and no handling fee will be added to their entry. Payment by check is preferred for filmmakers entering from the USA. Should USA filmmakers wish to enter and pay via their credit card a $3.00 handling fee will apply.
Successful applicants will be asked to immediately submit master tapes on either HD Cam or any other HD format, Digital Beta or Beta sp in either PAL or NTSC formats.
Please have press kits, translations and stills including a still of the director on hand and ready to send into us ASAP, should your film be selected. As over 400 media outlets around the world request stills, images must be 300 dpi and saved as a tiff or jpeg files.
